About Southern Tier Beekeepers Association

Southern Tier Beekeepers Association supports local beekeepers through education, shared experience, and a strong sense of community. We bring together members who care about responsible beekeeping, pollinator health, and practical learning for every stage of the journey.

Our Mission

Education, support, and stewardship

The association exists to help beekeepers in the Southern Tier learn, connect, and grow. Through meetings, seasonal guidance, and shared resources, we create a welcoming place for both new and experienced beekeepers.

Our work also serves the wider public by encouraging pollinator awareness, responsible hive management, and stronger local knowledge around bees, blooms, and the environment.

Our Story

Built around shared knowledge

Southern Tier Beekeepers Association was formed to strengthen beekeeping in the region through practical education and community connection. The organization brings together people who value learning from one another and supporting healthy beekeeping practices.

As members exchange ideas, attend meetings, and explore seasonal resources, they build confidence in their own work while contributing to a stronger local network of beekeepers.

We believe beekeeping grows stronger when knowledge is shared, stewardship is encouraged, and community remains at the center.

That commitment continues to shape the association’s role as a dependable source of information, encouragement, and involvement for the Southern Tier.
